I love lashes. Give me all of the mascara, eyelash extensions, 3D lashes you can give me and I am one happy girl. With all that being said today I thought I would share my go to smoky eye look using the stunning 3D Mink Eyelashes from Tricky Hair. They sell clip in hair extensions and 3D Mink Eye Lashes. Visit them at Tricky Hair Extensions. Everything that I use to create this look is very accessible and well priced so really anyone can create it!
I know the rule of thumb is to do your eye make up before you put your face make up on but I don’t follow that rule (I am a rule breaker.) Once I have all of my face makeup on I do my eyes. I start by using Mac Pro Longwear Paint Pot in…… I smooth it on my lids just using my index finger. Its a great product to help keep my eye makeup looking fresh throughout the day.
My next step is to apply my mascara and by apply I naturally mean using about 1000 coats on each eye. I’ve pretty much used every mascara out on the market and right now I am loving Lancôme’s Grandiose Mult-Benefit Lengthening, Lifting, and Volumizing Mascara but if you want a cheaper (drug store) option my go to is L’oreal’s Volumous. Oh and always get your mascara in the blackest color you can get.
Once I let my mascara dry for a few minuets I apply my eyeliner. For the Smokey look I have been loving the L’oreal Infalliable Smokissimmie. The reason I use this product is because it smudges so nicely. So once I have applied it on my upper lid I take my eyeshadow brush and smudge it out so it gives me that kind of grey Smokey look. If I am wanting more of a defined eyeliner look after I smudge it out I will go over the line again with a more defined eyeliner.
Lastly the MOST important part to get that dramatic look is to use some bad ass eyelashes. I highly recommend the 3D Mink lashes from at Tricky Hair extensions that I mentioned above. Some false eyelashes can look really fake but these lashes are mink which means they are the highest quality so they look legitimately real. Not only that they are super easy to apply. Trust me if I can do it you can so don’t be scared to try! I just picked up the Duo Lash glue from my local Target.
I always make sure the lashes fit my eye shape you may need to cut a bit off to make sure you do not have excess. Then I apply the glue on the strip let it sit for about 20 seconds to get tacky and then apply as close to the root of my natural lashes as I can. After I press them down firmly and let them dry if I need to put another layer of eyeliner over my lash line to blend it in a bit I will. Here is the finished look.
These lashes are reusable as well so you can wear them out for a special occasion or every day use. I wore them for date night out with my hubby and loved them! If you have any questions please ask in the comments below.
